FAQs.

Do you have any Questions?

We realise that for some, working with a website design agency may be a new experience, and therefore a little daunting. Athena Advertising provides a fully transparent design service, and don’t believe in trying to baffle clients with complicated terminology. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions from customers.

We will push the design to a live subdomain for viewing several times during the design and development process for you to review. This will help insure that we are headed in the right direction and on the same page throughout the project.

Yes, we create all our designs to be mobile responsive.

This could happen for a number of reasons, but chances are this is related to your hosting company. Your new website will be compliant with all web development standards and if issues arise we will be happy to research them for you charged at our hourly rate.

Your website will be integrated with the WordPress CMS which will allow you to easily update most text content, images, etc. with minimal training. Many structural and design elements, however, require an advanced knowledge of markup and coding to

perform.

Your branding and marketing materials are often the first point of contact with potential customers. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression, and therefore your communication materials need to convey the right image. A design agency will produce marketing materials that will help to impress upon potential customers the professionalism of your company and the service you offer. By producing your own marketing materials you run the risk of appearing amateurish, meaning the loss of potential customers.

For all projects we require an initial payment representing fifty percent of the total fee, before we can commence work on your project. The remainder of the balance is payable upon completion of the job. For all printing we require a full payment upfront.
We start all projects by thoroughly discussing the details of the project with the client. From this discussion we establish the specific requirements, which we call The Brief. We believe that client input is a crucial factor to making the project a success. Once we have established the brief, we begin work on the project by researching ideas. These initial ideas are worked up on the latest Apple Mac computers into design visuals using the latest graphic/web design software. The design visuals are then forwarded onto the client for feedback. We listen carefully to client feedback, offering solutions and advice to any issues that may arise. If any alterations are required, these are made and the amended visual is resubmitted to the client. This process continues until we receive client approval.
Once we have received the final payment, we will email all of your files. For print jobs, you will also receive high resolution PDFs, which can be taken to a printer of your choice.

Unfortunately unless you use an Apple Mac computer with the relevant software, you will not be able to view the files or make alterations. The main software packages we use are Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign.

Copyright for all work carried out by Athena Advertising transfers to the client as soon as the balance has been settled in full. We do, however, reserve the right to use any work for promotional purposes.
Sometimes customers require our services at very short notice. We can usually accommodate rush jobs depending on the size of the project and how full our production schedule is. These jobs are usually subjected to an additional charge on the flat hourly rate.
